General Description
The Chamber of Labour has been allocating the so-called „AK-Kunstpreis“ / AK- Art Award since the year 2000. The award is worth 1.500 €. It is supposed to underline the collaboration between the Chamber of Labour and the University of Arts in Linz. The intention of the the award is to encourage students to artistic analysis of present and future working environments in their dissertations. At the same time, is also an important goal to position the results of contemporary art into the focus of blue-collar workers, and to thereby weakening stubborn resentments.
Requirements
This award is given to students who have successfully accomplished their diploma thesis at the University of Arts in Linz.
