General Description

The 1959 graduates of the Engineering School, University College Cork subscribed a prize to perpetuate the memory of the late Henry N. Walsh. The H.N. Walsh Memorial Prize is awarded annually. This prize is only avaliable to undergraduate Engineering students. Eligible students have passed all their University Examinations in minimum time. Students must be outstanding in public speaking. Eligible students have pursued their entire Engineering degree at University College Cork. The prize consists of a Gold Medal and a cash prize of €1,600. The professors of Civil, Electrical, and Food Engineering will choose the winner.

Requirements

To be eligible students must be undergraduate Engineering students at University College Cork. A student must have attended UCC for the entirety of their Engineering Degree thus far. Students must have passed all University Examinations in minimum time. Eligible students must also show outstanding merit in public speaking.
