General Description

An anonymous donar has given a sum to the University College Cork to fund a book prize. This prize is meant to honor the memory of the late Dr. Joseph G Healy. The Joseph G. Healy Memorial Prize is normally awarded annually. The book prize is valued at €250. This prize will be awarded to the student that obtains first place in Spanish at the First University Examination. The score has to be made on the first attempt of the examination. The student will get to chose the book(s) as long as they are approved by the Professor of Hispanic Studies.

Requirements

The student must be in their First Year. The student must obtain the highest score in Spanish at the First University Examination. The highest score has to be made on the first attempt of the examination. The highest score has to be at 210 out of 300 marks. If the highest score is below 210 the prize will not be awarded.
