The late Mrs. Irene Uí Chiardha provided a fund to University College Cork in memory of her husband. The The Tadhg Ó Ciardha Prize is an annual award. It is awarded to the student that obtains the highest marks in Statistics at the BSc (Hons) Degree Examination. The prize is valued at €400.
