Erasmus+ international mobility with FUESCYL

For a paid internship abroad lasting 2 to 3 months, you will receive a Erasmus+ grant. You will be working for a company or organisation in another European country. The grant covers your travel and living costs. The amount is based on the standard EU rates, which vary depending on the destination country. If you received a general grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education in the previous academic year, you can apply for an additional supplement. Your placement will be documented in the Europass Mobility, a certificate attesting to your activities abroad, and a supervisor at your higher education institution will record it on your academic transcript. The programme is run by FUESCYL, the foundation that coordinates Erasmus+ mobility for art colleges in Castile and León, Spain.

Who can apply

• Your school: You are currently enrolled at one of the partner art schools in Castile and León (universities of art and design and vocational art schools) or have recently graduated from one.
• Field of study: You are studying an artistic subject, such as design, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, theatre arts or glass art.
• Where you go: You can undertake your placement at any company or organisation in an Erasmus+ programme country. EU institutions, embassies and consulates are excluded from this.
• Placement length: Your work placement will last for at least 2 months and no more than 3 months.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via your university. You will need an application form, a personal statement, a Europass CV, a portfolio of your work and your academic transcript. The application deadline for students is 19 December. Applicants will be assessed using a points-based system, and the shortlists will be published initially as provisional and subsequently as final.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very narrowly defined: you must be studying an arts subject at one of the selected partner universities in Castile and León, which means that only a small number of people are eligible to apply. If you fit this profile and submit a compelling portfolio and a well-written personal statement, your chances are good. Submitting your application by the deadline and already having a confirmed place at university will also work in your favour.
