General information on this scholarship
General Description
The Municipality of Faro provides scholarships to its residents each year. These scholarships objective is to finance further education to those with lack of means to do so. They are aimed at students of high school and higher education.
Requirements
All candidates must be of Portuguese nationality. They must live in the county of Faro for over five years. The students should be enrolled in institutions of higher education or in the school year that require scholarships. Academic achievement may not be less than level 4 for students in 9th grade. For students from higher education or in the high school last year the grade points average should be thirteen or higher. The student must belong to a household that does not have a monthly per capita income above the national minimum wage.
