Two Henrietta Hutton Research Grants are offered each year. They are awarded by the Royal Geographical Society. They are for field research outside of the UK. Individuals and teams can apply. Typically the grants are given for research projects in the subject areas of geography, social science, environmental science, or natural history. One award is usually given to an undergraduate and one to a postgraduate. They are worth £500 each.
To apply students must be a on a course at a UK university. The country where the research is taking place must be involved in some way. The research must last at least four weeks. Only independent organisations can apply.
