General Description

The Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford offers a Hall-Houghton Senior Prize. The subject of examination is the Septuagint version of the Old Testament. You have to write about a two-fold aspect of the Septuagint: retrospectively as regards the Hebrew Bible, and prospectively as regards the Greek Testament. The prize is worth £500 and the examination consists of three papers.

Requirements

Except for being students of the Faculty of Theology and Religion, applicants for the Hall-Houghton Senior Prize must be members of the university for less than 24 terms. This prize cannot be awarded twice to the same person.
