To enable and encourage students from Romania or Bulgaria to attain the undergraduate degrees of their choice, the University College London will award one student the Axeinos Bursary, which consists of £16,000 per annum for three years (subject to renewal and satisfactory academic progress). The bursary will be distributed to the student's tuition fees in the first instance, with any remainder thereafter being paid to the recipient for maintenance. The maintenance element of the award will be paid in equal termly installments. The selected candidates will be notified as soon as possible once a decision has been made. Applicants should note that all scholarship and student-funding schemes are subject to availability of funds, and these details provided are subject to change at any time. Applicants are also urged to check information regularly to ensure awareness of current procedures, deadlines, etc.
To apply, students must: be classified as an EU-domiciled student, as well as a Romanian or Bulgarian national; hold an offer of admission to UCL to study a full-time undergraduate degree; and show a financial need.
