The Province of Salzburg is giving the Soucek scholarship. The scholarship is named after the painter and graphic artist Slavi Soucek, and it is offered every three years. The scholarship is in height of 3000 Euros, and it will enable young graphic artist, both male and female, to spent 2 month working at renowned graphic workshop of Michael Woolworth in Paris. The awarded artists would have the chance to enhance their knowledge in the field of printing techniques, and to get an insight into the graphic scene of Paris. The artists would have the chance to work in lithography and etching techniques.The scholarship will also cover the accomodation costs, while working in Paris.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship the candidates must be born in the Province of Salzburg, or have lived there for five years. For the Paris-Graphic Scholarship, applicants mus have Master's in printed techniques. In order to apply for this scholarship, candidates must submit at least 10 of their pieces of art (in all kind of printing techniques). However, maximum of 20 submitted pieces of art are allowed.
