The University of Bristol, using funds donated by alumni and friends of the University, is offering the Alumni Academic Achievement Awards to the top first-year student(s) as identified by each faculty. This is a merit-based awards for undergraduates, and aims to recognise academic excellence through one-off awards, normally up to £1,000. The awards are only paid at the end of the first year to the two successful students from each Faculty and are not renewed annually.
Candidates may be Home, EU or overseas students in their first year of full or part-time undergraduate study, chosen as the top student in the faculty through an accountable mechanism. There is no application to complete. Students results from their first year will be reviewed by the Faculty Summer Exam Board and the winner of the award will be determined using the Faculty's selection mechanism.
