General Description

Higher Education Scholarship Palestine “HESPAL” wants to assist create the new generation of senior academics who can keep standards of international quality at university of Palestine and to develop links between UK and Palestinian universities. There will be 3 PhD scholarships and 21 Master Scholarships for universities of Palestine in Gaza and the West Bank. The fields of study are Business, Economics and Finance, Political Sciences and International Relations, Educational Management, Human Rights and Governance, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Water Management, Engineering, Law, Management, Nursing, TSOL, Human Resources, Linguistics, IT Economics and Science subjects.

The scholarship covers tuition fees up to a maximum of £12,000. It also covers pre-departure briefing presented from the British Council in addition to Thesis and arrival allowances. It also covers a monthly allowance to assist covering living expenses. It does not cover visa fees, IELTS costs, accompanying family and ticket of Airfare to or from the UK.

Requirements

Applicants must be originated and resident of Palestinian Territories. They must be employed currently through the University of Palestine that nominates him/her. They have to be holding a Master’s degree from Palestinian university and have achieved minimum grade of very good or something equivalent with grade point of 2.1 BA degree from the UK. They should be less than 40 years old on application and sign a written letter of undertaking to give back to the Palestinian university with agreed period that is usually one year. They must be holding IELTS certification, minimum 6.5.
