The Korea Foundation has established a grant programme for students who wish to learn the Korean language at a university in Korea. Grantees will receive 1200000 KRW (currently about 870 euro) monthly for a maximum of 6 months. An additional sum of 300000 KRW (currently about 210 euro) will be provided for initial expenses.
Applicants must be graduate students pursuing a degree in a Korea-related discipline. They will be required to provide evidence of current employment or enrolment, as well as their curriculum vitae and a copy of the most advanced degree obtained, complete with undergraduate or graduate transcripts. They must also submit two letters of reference and a certificate documenting their Korean language skills.
