General Description
The Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship is aimed at breaking down the barriers around postgraduate education. The total amount available to be awarded is 600,000 Pounds Sterling. These are used to fund standard fee courses completely, fund non-standard courses partially, and cover diploma and certificate courses completely. In addition, 4000 Pounds Sterling will be paid to the student in 4 equal instalments. This is to help cover course costs.
Requirements
In order to be eligible, a student needs to have been offered a place on a taught Masters, postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma programme at the University of Warwick. The student must also be a Home/EU student liable to pay tuition fees at the ‘home’ rate. In addition, the student must satisfy the course entry criteria for the programme to which they are applying. Furthermore, applicants must be self-financing and will not receive any external sponsorship or funding towards the costs of their proposed postgraduate course. Students may not have undertaken study at postgraduate level before, or already hold a Masters or PhD level qualification. Furthermore, the student must have been an undergraduate Home/EU student in receipt of a means tested bursary from your undergraduate University in the UK and/or Maintenance (or Special Support) Grant support from the UK government for full-time students. For part-time students, a tuition fee grant and/or course cost grant from the UK government; or, have been an undergraduate Home/EU student prior to 2006 at a UK institution and been in receipt of a Higher Education Grant and a tuition fee grant from the UK government; or, be currently in receipt of at least one of these specified UK government means tested benefits or tax credits: Income Support, Income based Job Seekers’ Allowance, Income related Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit or Pension Credited. A student may also be considered if they entered University at undergraduate level from a Care background or as a Foyer resident, or if they received DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowances) as an undergraduate student and/or currently receive DLA (Disability Living Allowance), Attendance Allowance or PIP (Personal Independence Payment). If the student is in an under-represented group for their chosen course of study: specifically a female offer holder for an eligible taught masters course at Warwick Business School.
