General Description

The Class of ‘63 Scholarship has been established to support bright and dynamic students who demonstrate exceptional merit and potential. Only one student will be awarded and receive the payment of £12,500 every year for the duration of their 4-year course, excluding repeat periods of study. The award will consist of a cash maintenance grant of £11,000 and a fee-waiver of £1,500. The successful scholar will be expected to meet informally with the donors on occasions, and will be required to submit a short statement of progress each year that will be shared with the donors.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Home/UK student who has been assessed for financial support by Student Finance England (or equivalent funding authority), with a SFE verified household income of less than £60,000 per annum. They must have an offer to study at Imperial in one of the following 4-year courses in the Department of Chemical Engineering:

- MEng Chemical Engineering (UCAS: H801)

- MEng Chemical Engineering with a Year Abroad (UCAS: H802)

- MEng Chemical Engineering with Nuclear Engineering (UCAS: H890)

The Department of Chemical Engineering and the Class of 1963 will assess the academic merit from UCAS form and predicted A-Level results, so there is no need to apply for this scholarship.
