The Conventry Sports Scholarship has been created to support students who can demonstrate excellence in their chosen sporting activity (choice of sport must be recognised by Sport England) at national or international level in an unpaid and/or unsponsored capacity and will represent the University at a high level in that sport. The scholarship values between £1,500 - £3,000 and is a mixture of cash and services per academic year. 50% of the scholarship will be provided as a direct financial support to enable students to fund training and competition/travelling expenses, and 50% will be provided as a non-financial support in the form of a tailored programme of support services, such as Physiotherapy, Strength and Conditioning and Sports Nutrition.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, students must accept their place at Coventry University. Evidence of achievements should be provided to support your application. Scholarship will be paid to students who are currently enrolled at Coventry University on an eligible course (students taking Foundation Art and Design course, Foundation Degree/undergraduate foundation year (year zero) course; or studying on a franchise, hybrid or validated Coventry University course at another institution are not eligible). In order to renew this scholarship for future years of study, you must also have achieved the required academic level to be able to progress to the next stage of your course at Coventry University. Students on a Training Placement Year will not be entitled to receive this scholarship award as full tuition fees will not be payable for that academic year.
