General Description

The Michael Wills Scholarship is for students who come from countries that have experienced conflict in recent years. It is funded and run by the grant-making organisation the Dulverton Trust and by the Oxford Department of International Development. It is for graduate students studying selected courses. Those courses are MPhil Development Studies, MSc Refugee & Forced Migration Studies, MSc Migration Studies, MSc Economics for Development and MSc Global Governance and Diplomacy. The scholarship covers the full cost of university tuition fees. There is also a grant of £12,900 per year for living expenses. It lasts for the duration of the course so if the course lasts two years, the scholarship is awarded for two years.

Requirements

Students must be on one of the listed courses. The scholarship is given to the most academically gifted student. To apply the student must be from one of 21 countries. Those countries are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, FYR of Macedonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, Slovakia or Ukraine.
