General Description
The University of Winchester offers the King Alfred Scholarship, worth £1750 per annum, to support students who have been in local authority care.
Requirements
This scholarship is open to full-time students enrolled at the University of Winchester who are under 25, and who have been 'looked after' by any local authority for at least 13 weeks since the age of 14. The King Alfred Scholarship may also be available to students who have been privately fostered up to the age of 16, or who have been the subject of a Special Guardianship Order and were 'looked after' immediately prior to the making of the order.
