General Description
The doctoral candidates or scholars are awarded only for teaching, research or studying activities in the framework of Erasmus Mundus Action 1 Joint programme that was approved previously. Doctoral candidates/students are eligible to apply for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to maximum of three different joint programmes (EMJD and EMMC are together). The scholarship will be offering the doctoral candidates and students a coverage of tuition fees and participation costs, installation cost contribution, and travel cost contribution and monthly allowance. Academic staff and scholars will get their living allowance including the costs of travelling supported financially. The universities will be getting support for the management and administrative costs. The minimum duration of the scholarship is 2 weeks corresponding to 2.400 EUR, that is the minimum amount and it is counted as 2 x 1.200 EUR. The period of the EMJD may be from three to four years.
Category A scholarships are awarded for students/doctoral candidates in third-country and for who are not residents and didn’t carry out the main activity for a period that have exceeded one year. Category B scholarships are offered for European doctoral candidates/Master students selected by EMMC/EMJD consortia who didn’t fulfill the criteria of Category A.
Requirements
Only full-time students are eligible for the scholarships and part-time students cannot be eligible for applying. Applicants can apply even if they haven’t finish their required studies from the consortium responsible for the joint programme, but they have to have finished the relevant degree even before the deadline of enrolment in the programme. EM programme demands all graduates to be awarded minimum double degree recognized officially in the degree-awarding countries.
