The National University of Ireland Traveling Studentships in the Humanities and Social Sciences are extremely helpful to students. The award has been in existence since 1910. Four studentships are awarded in all branches of the Humanities and Social Sciences department. A student is tenable for up to four years. The studentship is only awarded to those who achieve the highest of academic levels, so competition is very strong. The full studentship is valued at €64,000. This amount is allocated throughout the four year degree program. The successful students are paid quarterly.
Applicants must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited institution. The studentship requires it's applicants to have an outstanding academic record and the competition is fierce. Holders of Studentships are required to submit a report every six months. This report must be from their Professor or Director and it should confirm that they are satisfactorily pursuing the research work.
