General Description
The AIT Sports Scholarship Scheme targets promising students attending local schools or colleges and who have exceptional talent in their selected sport. The scheme is divided into Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Gold and Silver scholarships are the only monetary awards, with amounts totaling €1,000 and €500 respectively. The Bronze scholarship category is a non-monetary award that gives recipients access to special benefits similar to those in the Gold and Silver scholarship category. The benefits include study skills support, physical therapy, free use of AIT’s sports facilities, cookery/nutrition demonstrations, and functional screening assessments. The awards are for one year and can be extended for up to four years. Consideration for longer support periods will be made for students who wish to undertake higher education after the four years.
Requirements
Students must adhere to the regulations outlined by the institution. For students to receive the second payment of the scholarship in the second semester after exams, they must have passed their exams.
