The Dr. Ciaran Barry Scholarship from the Central Remedial Clinic is allocated yearly to one disabled student who is a graduate of a recognised University or third level college. The selection is made by the trustees of the CRC Research Trust. Students from any academic discipline are welcome to apply.
It is mandatory that all applicants for the scholarship confirm that they have been selected for postgraduate studies in any discipline. They must also specify the school where they intend to undertake their studies. To be considered applicants must submit a proposal that details aspects of the topic they intend to research including the length of time it will take to reach their research goals. Other areas - such as proposed methodology and funding requirements - must be included in the proposal. A copy of the project or a thesis has to be submitted to the trustees of the CRC Research Trust after the research is completed.
