General Description

The Ernst Mach grant for studying at an Austrian university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule) is awarded by OeAD-GmbH/ICM on behalf of and financed by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research & Economy (BMWFW) and is aimed at attracting undergraduate and graduate students from a wide range of countries around the globe. It supports students in natural sciences, technical sciences, human medicine / health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences and humanities. Scholarships range from 4 to 10 months and may be awarded for a semester or for a full year. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of 940 Euros. Non-European candidates from developing countries are also eligible for a travel cost subsidy of up to 730 Euros.

Requirements

Eligible students will either be studying a Master's programme or will have successfully completed a minimum of four semesters of studies at a university in one of the eligible nations at the time of accepting the grant. Candidates may not exceed 35 years in age and may not have studied or pursued research in Austria in the six months prior to accepting the grant.
