General Description

The Government of Japan has established to JSPS Summer Program to provide opportunities for young pre- and post-doctoral researchers from North America and Europe to receive an orientation on Japanese culture and research systems and to pursue research under the guidance of host researchers at Japanese universities and research institutes over a period of two months during the summer. Participants in the programme may receive funding worth up to 4920 euro.

Requirements

The programme is offered to young pre- and postdoctoral researchers from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada and Sweden; doctoral students of all disciplines may apply. The selection of applicants will be carried out in their country of origin by the programme´s partner institutions (DAAD for Germany, STINT for Sweden, CNRS for France, and the British Council in Tokyo for the United Kingdom).
