General Description
The Medeiros and Almeida Foundation has a strong cooperation with the University of the Azores in order to help out students who want to pursue research and learning activities in specific domains of interest, including Fine Arts and Sculpture Art History or Theatre Composition. The scholarships are awarded thanks to the late Antonio de Medeiros and Almeida, a native Azorean with a strong interest in fine arts.
Requirements
Students eligible for a scholarship awarded by this foundation have to follow a degree into one of the courses related to fine arts. Students that undergo either the first or secondary cycle of higher education can apply for one of these scholarships, but they must be registered in the second year of study.
Eligible students can be 25 years old or younger and those with lowest household income have priority. Besides this, students that do not receive other scholarships are eligible, except for scholarships issued by the Social Services of the Ministry of Education.
