General Description
The Fundação Oriente gives scholarships to national candidates of the Far East to attend courses in Portuguese language and culture promoted by Portuguese universities. The Fundação Oriente is also offering scholarships to Portuguese citizens to attend courses in languages and cultures of countries of the Indian and Pacific promoted by official institutions of those countries. The duration is one academic year. This period can be extended up to three years. Only in case of advanced language and Eastern cultures. Candidates should have studied for at least one academic year at a recognized educational establishment.
Requirements
Applicants must submit the form available on this website or the Foundation. Attached with the following documents: Curriculum vitae; Certificates of academic qualifications; Document acceptance of qualified advisor and/or registration at the host institution; Two reference letters from the applicant or project. All documents must be submitted in English or Portuguese. In the case of translated documents of an oriental language, the translation should be properly certified.
