The Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF) offer joint scholarships for Vietnamese students at Austrian universities, who will be awarded up to 940 euro monthly for a maximum of 36 months (including a preparatory phase of 9 months).
Applicants must be qualified for a PhD programme in Austria. The possible fields of study are Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Medicine, Agriculture and Forestry, Veterinary Medicine, Social Sciences, Law and Economics. Candidates must belong to the teaching staff of a Vietnamese university or have obtained a degree with a GPA higher than 8.0 (on a scale of 10), as well as an offer of a contractual relationship with a higher education institution in Vietnam. A certificate of having an English knowledge equivalent to at least the B2 level should also be provided. Candidates must be 45 years old or younger.
