Principal Isabelle Hortense Aymonier's Memorial Scholarship

You will receive a one-off payment of approximately 6,000 DKK (around 800 EUR), which will be paid out in January. This is a one-off lump sum, not a monthly scholarship, and is awarded once a year. The scholarship is aimed at female Master’s students at the University of Copenhagen who require financial support. It is administered by Selskabet Philadelphia. Study trips or periods spent abroad are not usually taken into account.

Who can apply

• Gender: You are a woman.
• Degree level: You are enrolled on a Master’s programme (candidate) at the University of Copenhagen.
• Field of study: You are studying theology or training to be a teacher.
• Financial need: This is the main criterion. In your application, you must provide details of your debts, your housing costs and your partner’s income.
• Timing: Students within 1 to 2 years of finishing have priority.
• Grades: Your grades are only of secondary importance; financial need is far more important.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

Applications are submitted via Selskabet Philadelphia. A single application form covers both this scholarship and the organisation’s own funding schemes. The call for applications opens in September, and the deadline for applications is 15 December.
