General Description
The Foreign Language Teaching Assistants Program provides funding for Belgian candidates taking up positions as foreign language teaching assistants in French, German or Dutch at a university or college in the US. Beneficiaries will receive a monthly stipend, housing and meals at a university campus. A travel stipend as well as sickness and accident insurance coverage will also be provided.
Requirements
This programme is intended for Belgian students studying languages, literature, education and related fields, and Belgian teachers in French, Dutch and German at the upper secondary level. Preference will be given to candidates who show an interest in educational and cultural exchange and who plan to teach in Belgium on their return. Candidates must be proficient in English with a minimum TOEFL of 85.
