General Description

The "German Historical Institute (GHI)" aims to support academic exchange between Germany and the USA. In this context, scholarships are awarded to doctoral students in order for them to do research at The German Historical Institute, on topics related to German-American history. The scholarships are given in the height of 1700 Euros and it is given in duration of 12 months.

Requirements

The scholarship is open to all doctoral students who are writing their dissertations on topics related to German-American history. In particular works related to German history, the history of German-American relations, American history, history of African Americans and Germans, Afro-German history from a transatlantic point of view are supported.
