General Description

The Evonik Foundation offers the Werner Schwarze scholarship to support young researchers in the field of amino acid research. To this end, the Foundation awards grants for doctoral students. Grantees will receive 1050 euro per month for a period of two years; extensions are possible in exceptional cases.

Requirements

Applicants must be doctoral students working in the field of amino acid research. Funding areas of particular interest are: new modes of synthesis for proteinogenic and non-proteinogenic amino acids, synthesis of new active substances or interesting byproducts from amino acids, and research works which further the existing knowledge about effects and applications of amino acids and amino acid derivatives. Applications must be submitted at the beginning of doctoral studies.
