General Description
The Association for the Support of the Schurman Library at the University of Heidelberg promotes PhD students of the University of Heidelberg through the award of the Schurman Scholarship in American History. The duration of the grant is 2 years. In addition to livelihood support, candidates can also apply for a grant to a research trip to the USA. The precise amount of funding is not available.
Requirements
The promotion is aimed at PhD students of the University of Heidelberg who write their dissertation on American history or the German-American relations. An application for this support should be provided at the beginning of the course. The selection of scholarship recipients is based on the previous academic performance and the quality of the (planned) scientific work. In this category there are no requirements.
