General Description
This stipend is a creation of the Thuringia Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. The Harald Gerlach Scholarship aims to support authors in the beginning stages of their career. Therefore a monthly installment of 1.000€ is granted for a period 12 months. Through this stipend authors are enabled to solely focus on their work.
Requirements
Authors in the beginning stages of their career are entitled to apply. The stipend is granted for a project in the fields of Prose, Lyrics or Dramatics. The applicants recent performance is the area of writing is the main selection criterion. Applicants must have their permanent residency in Thrungia. Alternatively applicants born in Thuringia or with a deep connection to the area are considered. Applicants must have at least one book published. There is no age limit.
