About this scholarship
Benefit
You will receive a grant of 41,000 EUR grant to fund one year of the “Master’s in 2 Research” programme (M2R), a research-oriented Master’s programme comprising a placement in a research laboratory or clinical department on an endocrinology-related topic. Endocrinology deals with hormones and glands. The funds will be paid to the institution where you are based and will be paid as a salary plus social security contributions, meaning that the amount you actually receive after these deductions will be approximately half of the scholarship. You will also receive a flat-rate travel allowance to attend the annual SFE Congress, at which the prize is awarded. The scholarship is awarded by the Société Française d’Endocrinologie (SFE), a French professional society for endocrinology.
Eligibility
- Your background: You are a junior doctor or pharmacist (in training) or a qualified doctor or pharmacist, and you work either as a laboratory scientist or as a clinician.
- Study phase: You are enrolled on a Master’s degree programme in 2 Research or are about to enrol.
- Job status: You do not hold a permanent (statutory) post.
- Field: Her research focuses on the field of endocrinology.
- Main funding: This grant is your main source of funding for this year.
- Membership: At the time of your application, you had paid your SFE membership fee for 2026. Your supervisor is also an SFE member and has paid the fees for 2025 and 2026.
- Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
How to apply
Download the application form from the SFE website, complete all the fields and submit it by 27 April 2026 as a single document via the online form. A jury from the SFE’s Scientific Advisory Board will assess the applications. The prize will be awarded in October 2026 at the annual SFE Congress in Bordeaux.
How realistic are your chances?
The eligibility criteria for this scholarship are quite narrow: you must be a doctor, pharmacist or junior doctor commencing a research master’s degree in endocrinology, be a member of the SFE, and have an SFE member as your supervisor. This keeps the pool of applicants small. The SFE awards only one Master’s scholarship per year; so, if you clearly fit the profile, a compelling research project is the decisive factor that will set you apart from other applicants.
