About this scholarship

What you got

This scholarship no longer exists. Google ended the programme in October 2025 and handed the wider Women Techmakers community to the non-profit Technovation. The details below describe what the scholarship offered while it ran, for reference.

Google paid scholars about 9,000 EUR (USD 10,000) per academic year. Earlier rounds paid roughly 4,600 to 9,000 EUR (USD 5,000 to 10,000), depending on the region and year. You also got a place at the Scholar Retreat, a networking event, plus mentoring (guidance from an experienced person in tech) and membership of the global Women Techmakers community.

  • Who: You are a woman studying a technical subject.
  • Field of study: You study computer science, computer engineering, gaming or a related technical subject.
  • Study phase: You are a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
  • University: You study at an accredited university.
