If you're leaving care or you are a Young Carer studying for your first degree, you're entitled to the NSP award plus a bursary of £1,600, regardless of where you live. Care leavers and Young Carers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are eligible.

General Description

The University of Sheffield offers a number of scholarships, worth £6000 each, within the framework of the National Scholarship Programme. These scholarships will only be awarded during the first year of studies.

Requirements

This scholarship is open to first year students enrolled at the University of Sheffield. Applicants must live in one of the country's most deprived areas (as defined by the government). The household income of candidates must not exceed £25000. Applications from students already holding a university degree will not be considered.
