General Description
The Study Foundation of the German people awards 30 scholarships per year to talented students of all disciplines from all over Europe, who want to study in Berlin. The fellows participate in an eleven-month college program, parallel to the course of study, at least partially in Berlin. The core of the programme is project work on current issues of European integration in an international and interdisciplinary team. Approximately 20 of the 30 places are awarded annually to students from other European countries. 10 fellowships are intended for scholars of the Study Foundation of the German people. The scholarship amounts to 800.00 EUR monthly for the duration of the college program. Furthermore, a one-time project fee in the amount of 400.00 EUR is paid. Foreign PhD students receive a unique mobility allowance in the amount of 1,000.00 EUR.
Requirements
A previous study funded by the Foundation of the German people must already exist at the time of application (for German applicants). Program and administrative costs for the college to take effect. The grantee shall have access to all services, and will gain alumni status, in the supporting organizations. Students must apply for a place in Berlin.RequirementsRequirements: Requirements for the scholarship are a scientific university degree (all disciplines), a bachelor degree or at least 4 semesters in a subject (no graduate students). The promotion is aimed at talented students with excellent academic performance. Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in European issues and community involvement. The candidate must be a team player and be willing to intensive project work. The maximum age for applicants is 28 years. The scholarship is aimed at students with EU citizenship and in exceptional cases, to citizens of other European countries.
