Government of Flanders (Belgium) - Grants for Higher Education Students

General Description

The Flemish Department of Education and Training offers a limited amount of scholarships to both EU and non-EU citizens studying and/ or living in the Flemish Region of Belgium. The maximum amount available is 5.282,75 EUR per year. It is also possible to get additional student loans or funding for mobility programmes.

Requirements

As EU-citizens candidates have to haved lived in Belgium for at least five years, they or one of their parents have to have worked at least 12 months within the last 2 years. Non-EU citizens have to have a permanent residence permit or have to be registered as official refugees. All candidates have to be enrolled as regular students in a Flemish university. The financial need of the candidates is taken into account too.
