General Description

The Emma Sorace Award consists of three one-off scholarships (one worth 1300 euro and the other two amounting to 1000 and 700 euro), granted by the Lions Club of Naples to students of Early Music enrolled at a conservatory of music in the regions of Basilicata, Calabria and Campania.

Requirements

These prizes will be awarded to the second level students or master´s degree students of Early Music at a conservatory of music in the regions of Basilicata, Calabria and Campania who offer the best performance of an unpublished or rarely executed composition related to the main´s competition theme, which is "The masterpieces of Neapolitan baroque vocal music in Naples from the 7th and 8th centuries". The age limit for applicants is set at 30 years old.
