General Description
Every year graduate students have an opportunity to become Balliol College Scholarship holders. This scholarship is given alone or in conjunction with other awards such as the Clarendon, Weindenfeld, Scatcherd or UK Research Council awards. If the scholarship is awarded jointly then it covers all university and college fees plus there is a grant for life expenses. If the scholarship is awarded alone than its value will be at the rate of Graduate College fees, which is approximately £2,659. Darvorguilla scholarships are meant to attract one or several female students in the Medical Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematical, or Physical and Life Sciences divisions. It is meant to last up to 3 years.
Requirements
This scholarship is meant for overseas students only and is in association with the Clarendon Fund. Students who show sufficient merit are considered eligible. Except where it is stated differently candidates need only to apply to the university for admission to their chosen course. Sometimes it happens that all eligible applicants to Balliol will be considered for these scholarships automatically. They are normally be awarded to applicants of Balliol and are only available to those admitted to Balliol.
