General Description

The German Academic Exchange Service is offering scholarships. The value of the scholarship it is decided by a committee during the selections. They payment amount can vary between 750 Euros up to 1,000 Euros. The amount will depend if the program is a first degree or a doctoral. Also it will depend on the research project and availability of the student. The award is usually paid between 1 and 10 months. In the full doctoral program the scholarship can be up to three years. There is the possibility of an extension for one more year.

Requirements

Doctoral/PhD candidates wishing apply must be already accepted to a Doctoral/PhD program in their home university. Usually German language skills are required. Although the required level of German will also depends on the project and topic choose by the student. For the courses natural sciences and in engineering disciplines where English is spoken at the host institute a proof of good English language skills may be enough.
