About this scholarship

General Description

The University of Birmingham participates in the AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership. Overall, 410 PhD studentships will be offered. Successful can benefit from the joint expertise of all member institutions. Full-time PhD studentships are for three years. Part-time studentships are for six years.

Home full-time students are eligible for payment of approved fees (approx. £3,900), a yearly maintenance stipend of up to £13,726, and a Research Training Support Grant.

Part-time UK students receive pro-rata fees waiver, a pro-rata maintenance grant (1/2 full time maintenance grant, so about £6800), and the Research Training Support Grant.

EU students are eligible for a Feed Only Studentship. This includes the Research Training Support Grant, but not the maintenance grant.

Requirements

This programme is open to all UK and EU postgraduate students studying a subject supported by the studentship.
