General Description

The Excellence Prizes of the Law School of the Catholic University of Portugal are attributed to students who have achieved outstanding results in some subjects of their Law Degree.

Requirements

Law School of the Catholic University grants four kinds of Excellence Prizes as follows: The Prof. Doutor Cavaleiro de Ferreira Prize is granted to the Law student with the most outstanding results at Penal Code and General Theory of Crime and Criminal Sentence. The Prof. Doutor Castro Mendes Prize is attributed to the Law student who achieves the highest results at Introduction to the Study of Law. The Professor Manuel Gomes da Silva Prize is awarded to the Law student with the best academic results at Law of Obligations. The Professor Antunes Varela Prize is attributed to the Law student with the best academic results at Civil Procedure.

All prizes are sponsored by distinguished Law Firms. The first one is sponsored by Germano Marques da Silva & Associados. The second one is Sociedade de Advogados Sérvulo & Associados. The third one is sponsored by Sociedade de Advogados Amaral Cabral & Associados. And the fourth one is sponsored by Sociedade de Advogados Serra Lopes, Cortes Martins & Associados.
