General Description

The German-American Fulbright-Program aims to enhance understanding between the United States and Germany through academic and cultural exchange. Though this program doctoral students are awarded with the scholarships that are intended for the completion of an academic year in the United States. Total funding of $ 30,400 for a full scholarship, and up to $ 21,500 for a partial scholarships will be awarded. In addition to that, the transatlantic travel costs are covered, awarded students will also receive a heath and accident insurance, free of charge visa application and covering of cost of living. There are a maximum of 70 given scholarships per year.

Requirements

The scholarship is intended to doctoral students of all field of studies. The scholarship is intended to students who are German citizens. At the time that students apply for this scholarship, their University degree can not be older than 14 months.
