About this scholarship
General Description
The University of Strathclyde offers The Better Futures Bursary that opens to tenants (or dependants of tenants) living in either GHA or Cube housing. Each bursary is worth up to £1,500 per year for a course leasting up to 4 years for full-time undergraduate students, and up to £750 per year for part-time students. The aim of this bursary is to help students with their living costs, include (but not limited to) funding for the cost of books, equipment, travel costs, childcare or other study or living costs. The bursary will be paid in 3 instalments.
Requirements
Applicants should be tenants or dependants of tenants living in either GHA or Cube housing. if the tenant is the applicant and there are tenancy issues, then this will be discussed with the Housing Officer before a decision is taken. If the applicant is a dependant of a tenant they will not be disadvantaged due to a parent/guardian having tenancy issues. Having rent arrears may affect whether or not an application is successful.
