About this scholarship
General Description
The AHRC funds this scholarship under the scope of the 'Projection Project'. The grant fully funds a 3-year PhD position. This is to conduct research into the representation projection and projectionists in the cinema, as well as outside cinema. The Projection Project is a research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council which will run to 2018. Aspects targeted are the history of cinematic projection, the role and image of the cinema projectionist, and the contemporary expansion of projected images and events outside the world of cinema.
Requirements
The students must hold the necessary qualifications and experience to be accepted into a PhD position within the relevant department. In addition, students must separately apply for this scholarship.
