General Description

La Caixa Foundation and the Astrophysics Institute of the Canary Islands (IAC) offer 4 fellowships for training in the predoctoral modality and their ultimate purpose is the creation of doctoral dissertations under the Severo Ochoa International PhD Programme for astrophysicists residing in the IAC. The duration of these fellowships will be of 1 year, but they are renewable on a yearly basis. Beneficiaries of these fellowships will receive 18,546.56 euros the first year, 19.303,56 euros the second year, 20.666,16 euros the third year and 22.558,67 euros the fourth year.

Requirements

Applicants should have Spanish nationality or from another country member of the European Union. Applicants with legal residence in Spain can also apply. They should be 16 years old at least and not be above the maximum age for compulsory retirement. They must hold a university certification preferably in Physics or Mathematics that grants them access to an Astrophysics Doctorate Programme of the University of La Laguna.
