General Description
The department of Burgenland in Austria supports students that want to spend a year abroad during their studies. The scholarship consists of a monthly stipend of 600 Euro monthly for a total duration of 1 semester. If a student wishes to stay abroad for a longer time, the scholarship can be granted for up to 1 year. However, this is only done in exceptional cases.
Requirements
Applicants should come from the deparment of Burgenland in Austria. Additionally, applicants have to be Austrian citizens enrolled in an Austrian college or university. The maximum age to be eligible for this scholarship is 26 years. There are also financial constraints associated with this scholarship: In order to be eligible, the parents of the applicant cannot exceed the predetermined annual income limits of 89,000 Euros. The income limit for single parents amounts to 55,000 Euro each.
