General Description

Sir Ernst Gombrich was awarded the Erasmus prize. He donated half of it to the Warburg Institute. Later on, he donated another sum to increase the value of the fund of the Erasmus prize. Currently, the prize is used by the Institute to promote research on the Cultural History of Europe to young students.
