About this scholarship
What you get
You get a one-off cash grant if you study at the University of Copenhagen and are short of money. The exact amount is not published. For comparison, most study grants at the university range from 2,000 to 15,000 DKK (about 270 to 2,000 EUR). The grant is paid through the university's Joint Grant Scheme (Faelleslegat), a group of smaller funds advertised together.
Who can apply
- University: You are enrolled as a student at the University of Copenhagen.
- Money: You are unable to cover the costs of your studies yourself. This is the most important requirement.
- Subject: All subjects are allowed.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at the University of Copenhagen.
- Grades: Good academic results speak in your favour, but they are an advantage rather than a requirement.
How to apply
You can only apply whilst the call for applications is open. Calls for applications are published in the ‘News’ section of the student intranet (KUnet; login required). Apply online via the link in the relevant call for applications and select the ‘Joint Grant Scheme’. Paper applications will not be accepted. The application deadline is usually in November each year.
